Charles Walker announced that he and his staff are planning a one day MS State 3-Move Tournament in addition to the Youth GAYP National which will be held the same day.

EVERYONE IS INVITED, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PLAY OR JUST WATCH THE FUN.

THERE ARE FOUR CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPATION:

1.YOUTH DIVISION AGES 7 – 18 (Top 3 Winners will Receive Prize and Award)  2.LADIES DIVISION (Top 3 Winners will Receive Prize and Award)  3.MEN’S MAJOR DIVISION (Top 3 Winners will Receive Prize and Award)  4.OVERALL CHAMPION (Prize and Award)    Note: Prize and Certificates for all Youth Players  Complimentary Buffet Lunch at Noon for Everyone  Registration 8A.M. - 9A.M.  |  Play Starts a 9:30A.M.  Complimentary bed and meals for out-of-town Guests

The MS GAYP State Checkers tournament was held on May 28 at the ICHF in Petal, MS. We only had enough people to have three different divisions.
One division was 6-9 year olds. The results in the 6-9 year old group were as follows:
First place - Mary Kolinsky ( 9 year old ) ( MS State Champion! )
Second place - Morgan Taylor ( 8 year old )
Third place - Joseph Freeman ( 7 year old )
Fourth place - Mason Taylor ( 8 year old )

The next division was the women's division. The results were as follows:
First place - Laura Parker ( 16 year old ) ( Perfect score 12/12 points ) ( MS State Champion again! )
Second place - Kim Kolinsky
Third place - Sandra Freeman
Fourth place - Lissie Freeman

The last division was the men's division. The results were as follows:
First place - Charles Walker ( Perfect score 24/24 points ) ( MS State Champion again! )
Second place - Bill Parker ( 17/24 points )
Third place - Sam Parker and Gary Bankston ( Both 11/24 points )
Fifth place - Larry Parker ( 10/24 points )
Sixth place - Joshua Parker ( 9/24 points )
Seventh place - Jonathon Freeman ( 2/24 points )
